 Kaylee O'Herron: New Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball Team

 Kaylee O'Herron has been appointed as the new assistant coach for the men's basketball team. With a promising career already underway, O'Herron brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the team, marking a significant step forward in the integration of diverse coaching talent in men's sports.


Kaylee O'Herron's journey into coaching began at Shadow Mountain High School, where she served as a coach for the boys' basketball team in 2022-2023. Her tenure, though brief, was marked by a commitment to developing young talent and fostering a team environment built on mutual respect and hard work. Her ability to connect with players and inspire them to reach their full potential quickly became evident, laying the foundation for her future endeavors in coaching.

Following her stint at Shadow Mountain, O'Herron transitioned to Scottsdale Community College, where she has been an integral part of the men's basketball coaching staff since 2023. Her role at Scottsdale CC has allowed her to further hone her coaching skills, working alongside seasoned professionals and contributing to the development of a competitive and cohesive team. Her strategic insights and dedication to player development have not gone unnoticed, earning her respect and admiration from both players and colleagues.


In addition to her coaching roles at the high school and college levels, O'Herron has been actively involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Annual Boys Basketball Camp at Northern Arizona University (NAU). Her participation in this camp highlights her commitment to nurturing young athletes, not only in their athletic pursuits but also in their personal growth and character development. Through her work with FCA, O'Herron has demonstrated a passion for mentoring young players, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and integrity.


While balancing her coaching responsibilities, Kaylee O'Herron is also dedicated to her academic pursuits. She is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree, with an anticipated graduation date in December 2025. Her commitment to education underscores her belief in the importance of a well-rounded approach to personal and professional development.  In addition to her academic pursuits and coaching she currently works full time in a local field.
