Men's Soccer Falls to Phoenix College
Apr 19, 2021

Chandler, Arizona-- The Men's Soccer team fell just short to Phoenix College on Saturday night, as the Coyotes record drops to 2-2 on the young season. In what appeared to be a very evenly matched game due to the number wins and losses between each team and the common opponents, the game itself lived up to the expectations.

It was a costly penalty in the box against the Coyotes that allowed Phoenix College striker Marcus Mora to score off the penalty kick for the lone goal of the game. Although this score game mid way through the first half, the Coyotes were never able to gain any rhythm on the offensive end and struggled to score throughout.

The Coyote defense was outstanding throughout the remainder of the game behind a strong performance from goal keeper Justin Zimmerman's five saves but the Coyotes just could not summon enough offensive firepower.

The Coyotes are on the road Thursday against Pima Community College as they remain in the hunt for the post season.
