Chandler, Arizona-- The Chandler Gilbert College Men's Soccer team cruised to victory over Gateway College Saturday night, beating the Geckos 5-0. Head Coach Richard Esperti's team came out with a never before seen enthusiasm and an eagerness to stay in the playoff hunt. They knew this game would help them remain in the mix for a favorable spot in the post season seeding.

The Coyotes were powered by strong all around play including goals scored by five different players. Abdullahi Mohammed, Tyler Niemann, Jesus Ramirez, Sean Benson, and Carlos Carrion all scored for CGCC. Although the Coyotes had multiple chances in the first half to put the visiting team away early, it was a strike that found the back of the net from the foot of Mohammed after a nice advance pass from Isaac Waddell that finally opened things up for the Coyotes.

The Coyotes could have easily scored an additional three or four goals as they dominated the time of possession and had 18 shots on goal compared to the Geckos one. However, the Coyotes should feel satisfied with their performance and will look to keep that strong momentum as they get ready to play Paradise Valley College at home on Thursday at 6 PM.
