Soccer Teams Unsuccessful Against Pima

Chandler, Arizona-- Both CGCC Coyote Soccer teams played host to Pima College Tuesday night at home. Unfortunately for Coyote Soccer fans, both teams were unsuccessful in overtaking the visiting Pima Aztecs. 

In the first match of the night, Pima went up midway through the first half 1-0 but didn't score again until the 83rd minute. The Coyotes got on the board when Elena Etchamendy scored in the 85^th minute. Unfortunately, time ran out on the Coyote comeback and the final score was 2-1. 

In the second match, the Men's Soccer took on the number one ranked team in the nation for NJCAA Division II, who also happen to be undefeated. The Coyotes scored the first goal of the game when Alfredo Oliver scored in the 20^th minute but penalties cost the Coyotes as Pima scored on a penalty kick a few minutes later. Pima notched two more goals in the second half to secure the win, with the eventual score ending at 3-1. 

The Coyote Women's Soccer team hosts Glendale College at 7 PM at home Thursday night and Cochise College at home Saturday night at 6 PM.
