Chandler, AZ-- Interim Chandler Gilbert College Athletic Director Russell Luce is pleased to welcome Zach Kampf as the new Head Men's Soccer Coach. The Phoenix, Arizona native joins the athletic department staff after a wide breadth of soccer playing and coaching experience. The Highland High School graduate played club soccer locally for Arizona Arsenal before playing for Metro State University and BYU-Hawaii collegiately. Kampf then served as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at BYU Hawaii before transitioning to a position with the Richmond Strikers soccer club in Virginia. Most recently, Kampf was the Head Boy's Varsity Coach at Eastmark High School in Queen Creek. Kampf will incorporate an entertaining Guardiolista style with a heavy emphasis on positional play. "I'm excited to get to work with the young men at Chandler Gilbert Community College, very grateful for the opportunity. I want to play an entertaining brand of soccer and I'm looking forward to recruiting high character young men from throughout the Valley."
Russell Luce said, "Our department is happy to bring Zach Kampf to the Coyote Athletics family, his local recruiting ties and unique coaching experience will prove valuable to the future of the Men's Soccer program. We are confident he can continue to elevate a program with a ton of potential for success."
The Coyote Men's Soccer team will begin preparing for a Fall 2021 season shortly; they did achieve post season success last season with a first-round win over Scottsdale College before falling to Pima in the ACCAC Semifinals.
