Men's Coyote Golf ready for Spring Schedule

Men's Coyote Golf ready for Spring Schedule

The Coyotes return to the links this spring with a talented group of freshman along with 2 impact returners.

The team is led by Champ Hettich who returns for the Coyotes after a solid freshman season.  Along side Champ, Max Palmer returns to the team for his sophomore season after a brilliant run in his first college season.  Max won the individual medal

in the 2025 region tournament earning a bid to the National Tournament.  These two bring leadership in college tournament play and preparation.

The freshman group includes Joey Bernier who hails from Tucson's Salpointe Cathlolic High School looks to contribute early for the Coyotes.  Alejandro Guzman comes to us from Maricopa and looks to help the team get to the region tournament.  Jackson Howey is local talent from Arizona College Prep high school in Chandler who looks to improve the teams chances as well.

Brody Moore comes to us from Gilbert Christian High School and has shown early success to come into the spring.  Traven Rollins comes into the year looking to make an impact from American Leadership Academy in Gilbert.  Nick Schaffer comes from Horizon High School and looks to continue his early fall success. Beckett Wallace comes to the team from Arizona College Prep in Chandler and has shown in the early spring he can help the team make a run this year.

The Coyotes are led by Alex Lobeck who is in his second stint with the Coyotes as the Head Coach of both the Men's and Women's programs.  Alex started his college golf career at Mesa Community College before transfering to North Dakota State university to finish his collegiate career.  After college Alex played professionally, taught golf and was an assistant coach at Mesa CC.  After his first stint with the Coyotes he left to take over as a lead instructor of golf for Elite Golf Schools.  Upon returning to the Coyotes he has been instrumental in improving the golf set up for our teams.  He has implemented the strength program for the teams, engineered the building of a "wedge" range on campus where our teams can work on their short games.  He has also started the process of an indoor sim room for teaching which the college is looking to expand and support.

The Coyotes tee it up at Tres Rios Golf Club on January 27-28 in the Estrella Mountain CC tournament.
