Chandler-Gilbert Community College pulled away in the second half to defeat Mesa Community College, 69–57, on Wednesday night (Feb. 11, 2026) at the Coyote Center.
Mesa and Chandler-Gilbert traded momentum early in a game that was tight through three quarters. The Coyotes led 16–10 after the first period, but Mesa responded in the second, outscoring Chandler-Gilbert 17–10 to take a 27–26 halftime edge. The third quarter stayed back-and-forth as both teams topped 20 points, with Chandler-Gilbert narrowly reclaiming control by winning the period 23–20 and taking a 49–47 lead into the fourth.
The difference came in the final 10 minutes. Chandler-Gilbert's defense and free-throw shooting helped it close strong, outscoring Mesa 20–10 in the fourth to turn a two-point game into a 12-point win.
Addyson Horsley was the engine for Chandler-Gilbert, posting 28 points on 7-of-18 shooting and a game-defining 12-of-14 at the free-throw line. She also filled the stat sheet with 9 assists and 7 rebounds while playing all 40 minutes. Macy Johnson added 14 points (including 2 threes) and 4-of-4 foul shooting, while Makailyn Horsley hit three triples on the way to 9 points. Amanda Anderson chipped in 6 points in limited minutes, and Melanie Ortiz provided 5 points and 4 rebounds off the bench.
As a team, Chandler-Gilbert shot 36.2% (21-of-58), made 9 three-pointers (9-of-27), and was efficient at the line (18-of-23, 78.3%).
